A neighbor is about to embark on new adventures in her new home...she has a light-colored wood entertainment center available for purchase.
It fits perfectly in our standard family rooms along the 9 foot wall. It is about 6 feet high and holds large screen television, dvds, speakers, gaming units, etc. There are glass doors on the sides AND detachable corner units which can be used elsewhere.
