DECA NEWSLETTER – March 2008
Happy spring from DECA! Here are a few updates from the meeting on 3/2/08…
Egg Hunt – The annual DECA Egg Hunt will be held at the neighborhood park on Sunday 3/16/08 at 3:00 p.m. – rain or shine. Please RSVP to Kathleen West (610)251-2709 or Lisa Beck (610) 240-0595 if you plan to come so we have an idea of how many children to expect.
Upcoming Events – DECA is planning a Bowling Night for adults in April, details to follow. Check the blog: http://decainfo.blogspot.com/ or neighborhood signs for updated information. Looking ahead, the annual DECA Picnic is set for Saturday 7/19/08. Mark your calendars!
Yard Sale – If you are interested in participating in a DECA Yard Sale this spring, please contact Karen Bevec (610) 651-5644 or Susan Palmer (610) 644-1836. There has been dwindling interest the past several years; we are deciding if a yard sale is the best use of DECA funds.
Some Courtesy Reminders –
- Please remember to pick up any trash, recycling, yard debris, etc. of yours that may have blown onto your yard or other yards with the recent windy and stormy weather. Clean yards reflect well on our neighborhood.
- Trash cans and recycling bins may only be put out the evening before pick up. Please promptly bring them in once they are emptied.
- Please watch your speed while driving through the neighborhood. Warmer weather is here, which means more children playing outside and more people walking the neighborhood. Let’s keep it safe for all.
Thank You – to the Becks, Fermanis, Gormans, Luboffs, and Spikers for hosting the Progressive Dinner with your neighbors. It was a great success!
