Welcome New Neighbors!
DECA (Down
East Civic Association) is 120 families strong.
We do various activities throughout the year and are looking to meeting
you and having you join in the fun!

Community Service and Youth Involvement Opportunities? (for our middle and high school neighbors)
Need
community service hours? Want to start
up a civic project? Do you babysit? Tutor?
Offer another talent or service, please send your information to Kristen
Cannella at kristenklughcannella@gmail.com. I will be creating a database of services you’d
like to offer to our neighbors. Truly,
think of anything from dog sitting to snow shoveling. No job is too small! I’ll happily sign off on any school
requirements!
Back to School!
Just a
friendly reminder that our younger residents are back to school (Great Valley)
on September 2nd. Just a
heads up when driving through the neighborhood to watch out for small folks
with large backpacks!!
Ice Cream Social?
Interested
in hosting the ice cream social (DECA will pay for supplies), contact Kristen
at 610-993-3374.
New Reps? Old Reps?
As we
prepare for a busy season of community activities, please confirm if you’d like
to remain a neighborhood rep. We do have
a need for some additional reps on Hillside and for Beth and Wood Lanes. Your involvement makes all things possible!! Let Kristen know:
Fall Festival-Coming in
October!!
This year’s
fall festival will be bigger and better than ever!! The King/Cannellas are willing to share
hosting duties with our neighborhood park.
We will need volunteers to make this amazing event happen! Set up, clean up, contacting the East
Whiteland Township to reserve park/order trash bins; portapots; also, we’d love
to have some games, face painters, and are considering moonbounce or photobooth
fun! Send ideas/volunteer info to
