Good morning and Happy Weekend to you all!
Karen Bevec has a note below to share with us all this morning. She has done an admirable (not to mention tough and, at times, thankless) job of keeping us all engaged through the years with promoting neighborhood events and the spirit of "community". If you've ever enjoyed attending an event, appreciated the holiday luminaries, or in any other way been thankful for our neighborhood's sense of community, I'll encourage you to express your thanks to her at mcbevec@comcast.net.
Kristen Cannella has shown equal enthusiasm from participating in events to opening her house to host neighborhood gatherings and we welcome and look forward to her involvement.
Read on for all the details and please do not forget to RSVP for the Fall Fest scheduled for September 28. Here's a link back to the event announcement in case you missed it.
Good morning DECA Neighbors,
It is with regret that I am informing you of my decision to resign my position as DECA President.
My other commitments have become too great for me to fulfill the requirements of my position. I feel it's best for me to make room for someone with time and energy to continue the DECA tradition. I have had a great 7 years, made good friends, and my kids will have great memories of their childhoods and neighbors.
Kristen Cannella will be stepping up to the plate but will need additional team players to continue the many successful events our community offers. In the spirit of "community", please feel free to contact her at kristenklughcannella@gmail.com with any of your own fresh ideas for promoting neighborhood involvement and/or if you'd be interested in being part of the board/volunteers that will be needed to continue these efforts going forward.
I know Kristen will continue the tradition with new and fresh ideas. Please welcome her and continue to support. DECA is what you make it!
 Thank you!
 Karen Bevec
