DECA Wine and Cheese Party next Saturday, February 2

Our neighbors at 29 Winding Way are graciously opening their house to all of us for the annual DECA Wine & Cheese Party on February 2, 2013.

Place: The Cannella house at 29 Winding Way

Time: The gathering begins at 7 p.m.

What to bring: Each attending household is asked to bring either an appetizer or a dessert item for sharing.

What else: Wine, Beer, Cheese, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Cost: This is included in your annual dues, so if you're not yet paid up, please arrange to do so with your representative.

Neighborhood clean-up in honor of MLK Day

As was done last year, in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, we thought it would be a good idea to clean up our neighborhood.

Please meet at the entrance of the Hillside Loop on Monday at 1:00 pm, if you are interested in joining us. (Weather permitting.) Please bring garbage bags and gloves.

Last year we had a pretty good turn out. Hope to see you out there!

Wine & Cheese Winter Social is coming

We're planning on February 2, 2013 so mark the date.

More details will be forthcoming but for now we are asking for two things:

1) an RSVP if you intend to come

2) a volunteer house to host the event

As the volunteer house, you will be offering your home to your neighbors for the event. All food and beverage will be provided by a combination of DECA and attendees.

We are also considering the option of a separate, tutored tasting during the evening. If anyone has experience doing something like this, let us know so that we can consider our options.

This is always a popular event to help get through the dark and cold days of winter, so we look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on February 2.
